Kindling the Dark

In the decaying industrial town of Ashwick, Pennsylvania, the police shooting of unarmed teenager Leon Vance ignites protests but no justice. Amid the turmoil, Elias Croft, a reclusive 74-year-old retired welder haunted by a lifetime of silent suffering, becomes the target of a brutal home invasion. When the police dismiss his case with bureaucratic indifference, Elias decides to become his own law. Transforming his decrepit Victorian house into a labyrinth of mechanical horrors using blowtorches, lye, and industrial presses, he lays a trap designed not just to kill, but to indict a society that manufactures both perpetrators and passive sympathizers.
